A pop-up volcano

This project creates a foldable card which when opened displays an eraptive volcano.

 

This project was developped for the magazine 'Campus Junior' of the University of Geneva.

Building
Print the template found in the section Blueprints/Plans on an A4 sheet.   Cut out all the shapes and the base. Fold and glue the lava jets to get a fron & back illustration (A1, A2)Glue the building back to back (D1, D2, D3).Glue tab B1 to the other end of the volcano to create its cone shape.Glue tabs A1 and A2 to the base with the jets in the centre.Pass the lava jets through the crater of the volcano and stick the tabs B2 and B3 on the base.Glue the C1 and C2 lava flows to the base by moving them up the volcano.Stick the buildings and the car park on locations D1, D2 and D3.The unfolded result should look like this:
